The Soldererhaus in Ponte Gardena was transformed from the former trading house of Josef Solderer to the current Carabinieri station during its long and colorful history.

The expansive, four-storey house is typical of the late historicist style, on the façade the large alliance coat of arms of Count Karl von Wolkenstein dated 1652 can be seen. Cut out gables, balconies with iron parapets, windows with plaster frames and diamond ashlar on the second floor complete the picture of this dominant house in the center of Pruca, as Ponte Gardena is called in Ladino, which was placed under monument protection already in the year 1950.

The Soldererhaus is going to be 100% green in the coming years with eight large apartments and the Carabinieri station running completey CO2-neutral.
