Descrizione riassuntiva dei lavori di manutenzione: I nostri fornitori devono migrare tutte le prese di corrente elettrica da 230V, operazione che comporta downtime per tutti i servers nel datacenter #1. Il downtime complessivo puo’ avere durata fino a 4 ore, con downtime per singolo server fino a 30 minuti. Ci scusiamo fin d’ora con i nostri clienti per gli eventuali disagi causati, siamo stati informati soltanto ieri sera di questa operazione indispensabile e non eseguibile durante la notte.

Zusammenfassende Beschreibung der Wartungsarbeiten: Unsere Lieferanten müssen sämtliche Steckdosen im Rechenzentrum #1 auf neu installierte Ackermann-Schienen umstellen. Das wird zu einem Downtime/Ausfall der Dienste und Server im Rechenzentrum #1 führen, der bis zu 4 Stunden andauern kann, wobei mit jeweils ca. 30 Minuten Downtime je einzelnen Server zu rechnen ist. Wir entschuldigen uns schon jetzt für die Unannehmlichkeiten, wir wurden selbst erst gestern abend über diese dringende Notwendigkeit informiert, die Wartunsarbeiten lassen sich nach Rücksprache mit den Lieferanten auch nicht während der Nacht durchführen.
Linux Virtual Servers emergency maintenance
To install security related updates all Linux Virtual Servers will be rebooted within the next minutes, total downtime should be less than 10 minutes. As this was an important security update, no delay was possible, we apologize for the inconvenience.
NOC telephone failure and central database server problems
Due to a cutoff of the phone-line the network operation center (“NOC”) is currently not available by phone; additionally we are currently performing extraordinary maintenance operations on our central database server due to problems.
No service interruption will be caused by this, but response times will be higher than usual. No ETA has been provided by our supplier for the resolution on the line-cut, while the central database should be fully operative again within 60 minutes.
VPS Windows and Linux upgrades
This night we will perform several upgrades and software updates on the VPS hardware notes, both on the Windows and Linux platforms. As every hardware node needs to be rebooted, there will be a short downtime for the VPS service during the night.
Questa notte verranno eseguiti vari interventi di upgrade ed aggiornamento software sui nodi hardware dei sistemi VPS, sia su piattaforma Windows che Linux. Dato che sara’ necessario riavviare almeno una volta ogni nodo hardware, ci sara’ un breve downtime durante la notte per i servizi VPS.
In der Nacht vom 8. zum 9. Juli 2010 führen wir Hardware-Upgrades und Software-Aktualisierungen der VPS-Hardware-Knoten durch – sowohl der Linux- als auch der Windows-Plattform. Da es dabei notwendig sein wird, sämtliche Hardware-Knoten zumindest einmalig neu zu starten, wird es einen kurzen Ausfall der VPS-Dienste während der Nacht geben.
