Da varie segnalazioni da parte dei nostri clienti ed anche da misurazioni effettuate dal nostro ufficio ad Ortisei/Bolzano a quanto pare Telecom Italia ha dei problemi nella propria rete. Il tutto e’ stato confermato poco fa dal callcenter di Telecom Italia che sta gia’ lavorando per risolvere il problema. Ci scusiamo con i clienti per gli eventuali disagi, abbiamo lavorato per chiarire il problema e stiamo lavorando per voi affinche’ venga risolto al piu’ presto, ma ovviamente abbiamo un’influenza ridotta su problemi di Telecom Italia nella loro rete ed il servizio ADSL. A quanto pare anche siti di motori di ricerca importanti e molto noti ne sono coinvolti.

Gentili clienti,

due PDU nel datacenter #1 hanno smesso di funzionare circa 30 minuti fa. Il personale sul posto sta gia’ provvedendo a verificare il tutto e rimpiazzare le PDU difettose. Il tempo estimato per questa operazione e’ di circa 2 ore. Ci scusiamo per gli eventuali disagi, sono colpiti 37 server dedicati o managed da questo problema.

UPDATE2: In circa 40 minuti le PDU di sostituzione dovrebbero’ essere pronte ed attive (alle ore 22.30 circa quindi!). Nel frattempo abbiamo rilocato alcuni servers e continueremo a fare del nostro meglio.

Tuesday, 24 March, Release 5.8 will be rolled out on the EURid-servers during the maintenance window between 18:00 and 23:00 CET. There will be some downtime within the 5 hours window as the production system will be offline.

Affected Systems: Production system for .EU-domains (that means Domain Name Registrations, Renewals, Transfers, Management on the Live interface will not be possible during the downtime, but this outage shall have no impact on your domain names, which will continue to work properly).

The .ORG Shared Registry System (SRS) is scheduled for a DNS publication
maintenance on 22 March 2009 21:00 – 23 March 2009 01:00 UTC. During
this period, the .ORG Shared Registry System (SRS), including the
Web-based Administrative Interface and the WHOIS service will be
available. Registering and manipulating domain names and other registry
objects will not be affected. Domains will continue to resolve normally.
Updates to affected DNS servers will be held in queue until the
maintenance is completed.

We will be performing an upgrade on the Barracuda SPAM-Firewall Cluster within the next hours. As the cluster is redudant, NO DOWNTIME should occur, but there might be a slight drop in performance during the next 60 minutes.

Provvederemo ad aggiornare il nostro Barracuda SPAM-Firewall Cluster nelle prossime ore. Dato che si tratta di un cluster in ridondanza, NON ci sara’ ALCUN DOWNTIME. Tuttavia nei prossimi 60 minuti e’ possibile che ci sia una lieve diminuzione della performance.

Wir führen eine Aktualisierung des Barracuda SPAM-Firewall Clusters in den nächsten Stunden durch. Da das Cluster-System redundant ausgelegt ist, wird es zu keinem Downtime kommen. Allerdings kann es in den nächsten 60 Minuten zu leichten Performance-Einbußen kommen.

Own Identity (the ICANN-accredited registrar we use to register and manage .COM/.NET/.ORG/.INFO/.BIZ/.NAME/.TEL/.ASIA/.MOBI-domains) has problems with a major hardware failure that has necessitated replacement of hardware and restoration of data. This is a long and tedious process and is expected to finish around 12:00 AM GMT on March 12 2009. We are doing everything we can to bring the system up as soon as possible and will keep you posted.

Rest assured that all operations will resume normally as soon as we are online again.

All domain-names will continue working as normal, but updates are being impaired at the moment, as is the Whois-service. We have backup-copies of the entire Whois-database and another copy is stored safely by Iron Mountain, so that the Whois-information is guaranteed and protected.

All other domain-services (e.g. .IT, .EU, .DE, .AT, .NL, .FR etc.) are not affected by this.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

UPDATE: Downtime is over, all domain-systems are back online.

Einige alte Windows-Hosting-Pakete werden gerade auf das neue Windows-Hosting-System umgezogen. Der Vorgang sollte reibungslos sein, sollten trotzdem Probleme bei einzelnen Kunden-Accounts auftreten, bitten wir die Kunden den technischnen Support zu kontaktieren.
