incubatec datacenter #1 (Level3): New UPS integration 21 SEP 2008
A new UPS will be integrated in the incubatec datacenter #1 (Level3) the 21st September 2008 00:00 – 06:00. We have been advised that this operation involves a number of switching activities that require some existing UPS to go into maintenance bypass. During these periods the load will be supported by generator power. Therefore there is a high risk of downtime, even if no impact is expected.
Una PDU nuova verra’ integrata nel datacenter #1 (Level3) il 21 settembre 2008 da mezzanotte alle 6 del mattino. Ci hanno segnalato che questa operazione comporta attivita’ di bypass forzato per le PDU esistenti e per questo motivo e’ stata classificata come operazione ad alto rischio di downtime, anche se non e’ previsto un impatto negativo.
DC2 problems
Currently we are experiencing problems in the datacenter #2, we are analyzing the problem and trying to solve it ASAP.
Al momento stiamo rilevando problemi nel datacenter #2, stiamo analizzando e lavorando per risolvere al piu’ presto.
UPDATE1: According to Global Crossing the entire upstreams and the datacenter-interal connections are all dead, but we do not have an ETA yet.
Secondo Global Crossing tutti gli upstreams ed anche le connessioni interne del datacenter non funzionano al momento, purtroppo non abbiamo neanche una stima.
UPDATE2: Backup lines are working, still waiting for further informations. Le linee di backup sono ora attive, stiamo tuttora aspettando di ricevere ulteriori informazioni.
UPDATE3: According to our own analyzing and the logs, there was a COMPLETE POWER OUTAGE on all 3 circuits in the datacenter #2, contrary to the informations we have received until now. Core infrastrucure services are up, single servers could still be down and we will further investigate.
Secondo le nostre breve analisi ed i logfiles vi era un DOWN COMPLETO della corrente su tutti e tre i circuiti nel datacenter #2, in discordo con quanto finora segnalatoci. L’infrastruttura di routing e switching e’ di nuovo online, singoli server potrebbero’ ancora metterci un po’ e proseguiremo con le nostre indagini.
