New serial consoles
This weekend we will install new serial-consoles. All customers affected will be contacted and informed, the new serial consoles should offer improved performance for out-of-band-management of dedicated servers with the service enabled.
Questo fine settimana installeremo le nuove consoles seriali. Tutti i clienti coinvolti verranno contattati ed informati via e-mail; le nuove consoles seriali offrono una performance migliorata per la gestione out-of-band dei servers dedicati con questo servizio abilitato.
Dieses Wochenende werden wir neue serielle Konsolen im Rechenzentrum installieren. Alle betroffenen Kunden werden kontaktiert und per E-Mail informiert. Die neuen Konsolen bieten eine bessere Performance bei dem out-of-band-Management der dedizierten Server, die diesen Zusatzservice verwenden.
Cogent link flap
Our upstream to Cogent experienced an unexpected link-flap today at 11:55:48.324 CET; backup-lines were in place and the Cogent-uplink was working correctly less than a minute later (at 11:56:32.444 CET according to our logs). We will request further informations from our carriers, network avaiability was not affected.
Emergency maintenance backbone Frankfurt/Francoforte
Valued customers,
due to interface errors on one of our backbone links Level 3 will replace a card on their SDH equipment in a few minutes. This affects all connections that pass Frankfurt Interxion, for example DE-CIX, but our backup-lines are in place, so there will be no downtime.

RBL updated & other upgrades
We have updated our spam-blocking-list to be faster, managed-servers and managed mailservers should be faster. We will implement additional upgrades and updates to our routing- and security-infrastructure this night.
Abbiamo aggiornato le nostre blacklist antispam affinche’ siano piu’ veloci e responsive, i servers e mailservers managed dovrebbero’ essere piu’ veloci ora. Provvederemo ad aggiornare la nostra infrastruttura di routing e sicurezza questa notte.
Es wurden wichtige Updates der Spam-Blacklisten eingespielt, die Managed-Server und Managed-Mailserver sollten jetzt etwas schneller E-Mails verarbeiten. Wir werden diese Nacht weitere Aktualisierung und Aufrüstungen der Routing- und Sicherheits-Infrastruktur im Rechenzentrum durchführen.
Aggiornamenti pianificati
Questa notte verra’ aggiornato il firmware del firewall Cisco PIX 535 e del coreswitch. A causa degli aggiornamenti ci saranno dei brevi downtimes di durata complessiva inferiore a 10 minuti.
